How to Measure Webinar ROI
Webinar ROI compares the value created by the program with the resources required to run it. The hard part is usually attribution, not arithmetic.
Count real costs
Include software, media spend, creative work, presenter and operator time, agency support and other material costs. Reusable assets may be amortized across multiple events if that reflects how your business accounts for them.
Define value
For revenue-generating programs, use an attribution method your organization already trusts. For customer education or retention, ROI may require a different economic model.
Avoid over-attribution
A person who attended a webinar may have interacted with many other channels. Do not assign the entire sale to the webinar simply because it appears in the journey.
Use ROI with diagnostic metrics
Revenue or value is the outcome; registration, attendance and engagement help explain how the program produced it. Use both levels together.
