How to Create a Webinar
Creating a webinar starts before you open webinar software. The most important choices are the audience, problem, promise and format.
Find a real audience problem
Use sales calls, support questions, community discussions, search behavior and customer interviews to identify problems with enough depth for a session.
Write the promise
State the concrete value of attending. Avoid vague titles such as “industry trends” unless the session clearly explains which trends and why they matter.
Build the outline
Use a simple arc: context, key ideas, examples or demonstration, action steps and Q&A. Remove sections that do not support the promise.
Create supporting assets
Build slides only where visuals improve understanding. Prepare handouts, links, examples, polls and calls to action before the event.
Plan the replay
Decide whether the session will become an on-demand resource, an evergreen webinar or a one-time event. That choice affects editing, follow-up and platform requirements.
